Hate to scratch the silver lining on this but most of the time these sweepstakes deals make 10x or more the prize value just on data collection alone.

Actually most of these sweepstakes make no money on data collection if you opt out on third party offers. (and you should always opt out of 3rd party deals) If they state they will use your info only inside their own company they do if they are legit. This one is legit. I do this for my hobby, and last year won well over $20,000 in prizes. $13,000 was in cash, a trip for four anywhere in the country and a trip to Barbados we chose to take this June.

I enter at least 200 sweeps a day, and have entered over 4,000 in the last 8 months. I get less then 15 spam emails a day. So if you want to take the very slight risk you'll get unwanted emails go ahead and enter. The companies that run sweeps want website hits and make people aware of their products or services so they don't want to make people mad by spamming. It's not good for bidniz. :mrgreen:

I figured it is a sweet gun that anyone here would want (if they are willing to pay the taxes on winning it) I want it. A 4k gun for less then 1k in taxes. I'll post my win list for this year so far, so you know I'm not BSing.

Too late on the snackers. that contest ended already. They were giving away $90,000 snackers, a couple hundred PSP's 50 or so lcd hdtv's with a PS3 and 5 grand prizes of a bigger hdtv surround sound system, gaming chairs and PS3's.

I didn't win a tv or PS3. lol
