Were you the one running the drills shouting "BLUE! TRIANGLE! SQUARE!"?? Whoever that was, it sounded like fun. I wanted to go introduce myself, but we kind of ran out of time.
It shoots alright. We got a diamondback DB9. I can shoot it with no issues, but when she shoots it, it FTFs almost every round. I watched her shoot almost 50rds like this and I can't figure out why... very frustrating for her to say the least. I want to say that she is limp wristing or just not holding it tight enough, but her hands had red imprints of the grips and from where I was standing, I couldn't see any obvious problems. I'm not sure what the problem is. She has incredibly small hands, so maybe she just needs a smaller caliber, but I'm not sure. The best thing happened though: She isn't very confident with her new gun (because she couldn't get it to feed reliably!), but she did finally admit that she really liked shooting my AR, and when I halfway jokingly suggested that she would have to get her own AR to shoot, she was very open to the idea.. maybe even a little excited.![]()

Forgive my ignorance...but what is the south site? I am in the Springs too...and always looking for a safe place to shoot.
Anyone know of any backcountry areas that are allowing fire?
Nice find! (and thanks for picking up other people's 'trash')
Where I was shooting, there was only a little bit of .22lr brass, but nothing reloadable and no trash. I always try to pick up as much brass as I can, even though I don't have a reloading setup yet. I keep brass in 1 gallon plastic gatorade bottles and I have 2 gallons of .223/5.56 brass, 1.5 gallon of 6.8 brass, and 1 gallon of 9mm brass. Someday I'll get a reloading station...
