It seems like the larger suppressor manufactures can afford to build a better product than a garage operation. I am partial to SWR, AAC and Gemtech (in that order). SRT also makes some good rifle cans. The * means I either have one of theese or have one in transfer.

my picks:

for a .22lr
1) SWR Warlock (well made, VERY quiet, excellent customer service)*
2) AAC Pilot or Aviator (both great cans, the difference between the two is that the Aviator has 2 more baffles and therefore quieter)
3) Gemtech Outback II (well made and cheapest of the bunch)

for a .223
1) AAC M4-1000 (excellent price, very well made, the leader in this category by far unless you are going to be doing dumps through a belt gun)
2) YHM Phantom (great suppression, good price, was best deal in this category until the M4-1000)*
3) Gemtech HALO (good suppression, uses standard A2 flash hidder as a mount)

9mm
1) SWR Trident (Versatile, great customer service) *
2) AAC EVO 9 ( probably the best 9mm pistol can on the market)
3) SWR Shadow (excellent pistol can)

.30 rifle
1) SWR Omega 30
2) AAC 7.62-SD
2) AAC Cyclone

.45
1) AAC Blackbox
2) SWR HEMS II
3) AAC EVO45

I did not write about the .30 or .45 cans because I do not own one and most of my recommendation is based on things I have read. But, I have shot a couple of .30 rifle cans and a .45 SWR HEMS 1 & 2. 45's do not suppress too well due to the size of the bore and are disappointingly loud to me.

Are you looking for a .22lr can for FA? If so I would look at the Tactical Innovations cans and the AAC Prodigy since they can be taken apart and cleaned.

FA Rated cans are usually made of materials that can withstand higher temps and stronger to withstand the pressures associated with a SBR.
