the only problem is you can't see the perp very good, so you don't know if he/she had a gun.

If he felt that criminal was going to shoot someone, he did the right thing. And after that incident was reported all over the local news, he probably prevented many future robberys being contemplated by other scumbags.

Sorry, I must not have posted the video with a good description of what happened. That same video is posted quite a few times on youtube. The bad guy did have a gun, and did fire first. If you look closely you can see some powdery dust come into view from the bullet he fired. It was also mentioned that he was an instructor in firearms training and was afraid the BG would shoot the female clerk since he was jittery.

This is what I think if anybody ever walks into my shop and pulls a gun on me they WILL leave in a body bag. I will never let some POS take my money I earned with out a fight.

Ohhhhh...So you think it's fine and dandy to shoot anyone who points a gun at you? What if they just need change for a dollar and are merely using a pistol as a pointer?

Sorta like this: "Hey! Can you (points Glock at you) open your cash register (points Glock at register), get me 4 quarters for this dollar, and put it in this bag (points Glock at bag)?"

Then YOU have to bust out the Serbu and blast him just because some crappy coke machine wont take his dollar? Nice...reeeeal nice.

You don't think a scumbag pointing a pistol at you while asking for money would cause a reasonable person to assume something bad is about to happen and meet all the conditions for a deadly response under the CO statute? You'd not respond until the BG shoots you first? The third rule of gun handling says never point your weapon at something you're not willing to shoot. The minute he pointed it at you declared his intention not to be bound by the rules of society. I don't know about you but I never draw my concealed weapon and use it as a pointer. Sounds like an opportunity for Darwinism to prevail.

The real point here is your example seems to indicate that you haven't thought seriously about when or under what circumstances you would employ your weapon to a perceived threat. I'd suggest not carrying until its clear in your mind. There are a number of books about the mental aspects of self-defense - I like the ones by Gabe Suarez and highly recommend them. Massad Ayoob also has a number of good ones out there.
