Default Why to dislike for liner locks?

I have owned all sorts of pocket knives and most have had a liner lock.

I have never had an issue with them except locking the blade open after
pounding the crap out of the blade to cut through some thick copper cable etc and then using pliers to unlock the liner lock.
That was an extreme example and in regular use have never worried about the lock coming undon and slicing my fingers wide open.

Because cheap liner locks have been known to not engage fully - and then the blade collapses when least expected and people get their fingers hurt.

I have carried liner locks for years - specifically in all my Emersons and I have never had a problem. Personally I like axis locks even more - but I've never had a problem with my liner locks on my real knifes.
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

Most of the liner locks I have owned have had a secondary lock that would prevent the liner lock from disengaging.

Just to be safe, I usually don't stab things with any kind of folding blade.

When I was younger I was just starting to carry a knife everyday. I had a cheapo Remington I think and I was cutting a box open and the POS slammed on my index finger, I still have a huge scar and it also has some nerve damage because my finger fas no feeling right there and it feels like leather kind of. After that I went and bought a kershaw leek and never had a liner lock problem again I prefer benchmades axis lock though.
