Default where i can use my steel targets in Colo Springs?

    Hi Folks,

I have little time living in CO and the only ranges that i know and visit is Dragon Mans and Pikes Peak Shooting... and in both i cannot use my steel targets to shoot at 200 yards my 308 rifle.

In my opinion this sucks because at 200+ yards i can't imagine a ricochet from a 308 or 223 rifle but anyway where i can go here in Colo Springs? I bought recently my steel targets and I'm very excited to use it.

    thanks in advance

Ben Lomond Gun Club isn't far from The Springs. You can shoot nearly anything you want out there except cannons and artillery. Just clean up your mess and be safe. You should be able to set up steel targets out to 600 yards on the High Power range, as long as there isn't a match going on or other users that might object. It's a private club and you'd have to join, but it's right up US24 to Ramah and then north a little ways. 560 acres of privacy and shooting joy. http://www.blgc.org/

Pueblo West. We shoot steel there all the time. And we just opened our 600 yard range.

When did they put up closed signs? Thought it was open once you get past the hiking trails?
