The axis stock is not conducive to good accuracy . It violates pretty much every fundamental of marksmanship with the moving buttstock on a piston that collapses when fired .

I like my Edge (known now as Axis) in .308. Decent for the price.
Sometimes people trip and fall down stairs.
Sometimes assholes push people down stairs.
That doesn't mean "stairs are bad" nor does it make someone who pushes someone down the stairs any less of an asshole.

The Savage 10,110 non accu-trigger turned into the Savage/Stevens 200 when the accu-trigger guns came out. This gun with slight changes (receiver and magazine) was then renamed the Savage Edge which FORD objected to since it has a vehicle with that name so the name was changed again to the Savage Axis. This gun is far superior to the Remington 710 and 770. There are still some Savage/Stevens 200's floating out there new if you really want a true Savage 10/110 for about the same price.

The whole line of these rifles are know for their accuracy and low cost.
There is no moving butt-stock but they are know for cheap Tupperware stocks that can effect shot placement as the barrel heats up. Using sand paper to relieve the barrel pressure can usually make these guns repeatable MOA or sub-MOA shooters.

I thought only Browning and Bennelli shotguns had recoil reducing stocks?
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
