The Texas Star went really well for me, then things went horribly wrong. I borrowed a buddy's Shield to shoot for the first time in the BUG stage. It shot great, but spending five seconds learning how to disengage the manual safety in the heat of competition didn't help much. Then there was a ten second wardrobe malfunction on the easiest stage of the match. Drat.
Tom was the main SO of our crew, and I really like his style. Very fair, reasonable and knowledgeable of the rules. Great match.
I got past it, but ended up at least one round short for the stage since I wasted too many shots on the star. Had to take an FTN on the last target, no shots available to take at it, doh! That thing bested me this month. I think I went at it a bit over confident because I surprised myself and did pretty dang well on it last month.

"Praise be to our prophet, John Moses Browning, who hath bestowed upon us the new testament of shooting. Delivered unto us, his disciples, on 29 March 1911 A.D."
