Tag sales will be out of control today. I even got called in to work this afternoon, on my day off, to help with them.
Believe me I understand. I was up since yesterday at about 2pm and got to Wally world at 6am this morning. I work nights so normally this would not be a big deal. I have no problem with the way that the DOW runs the system, but today I underestimated walmart stupid. I was the 10th person in line and I was not helped until 9:44. Then I was going for archery, muzzle loading, or rifle for deer all in the same unit that added up to 70+ tags, 30 of them were archery. Normally getting one of those would not be a big deal with archery being a sure thing. But not today.

There was a kid that did not know his social, CID, or anything standing in line in front of me and rather than tell him sorry kid you should have come prepared like everyone else they sat there and waited while he called his mom and she looked for hid social security card for about 20 minutes. That plugged up one of two registers, and the other side was not moving much better. The group of guys that were standing around me all started talking about what they wanted and it turns out that all of us walked out empty handed. I cant imagine that the other 60+ people inline behind us were much luckier. We were all trying to hunt locally, but had a collection of 6 GMU's including PLO's that we wanted and they all sold out of all species (except bear, I don't think anyone was hunting bear) by the time the 7th person in line that had been there since 5:30 got to the counter at about 9:30.

    What the hell is that?

The trick is to find a small gun shop where they sell licenses then you can walk right up. I go to the Shooting Shop South in Littleton, near Arapahoe Community College.

Whenever I have tried at Dicks or Sports Authority, the kids are overwhelming trying to use the License machine.

Here is the list of agents: http://wildlife.state.co.us/ShopDOW/...AgentList.aspx

I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
