Funny though when I went shooting out by Briggsdale once, setting up to shoot a herd of 3-4 of them were passing past a cow fence maybe 100 yards away unconcernedly. Wished Oh wished so badly I could have taken them. They must get a memo about hunting season dates.

Twice. One buck and one doe. There are places that spot and stalk are do-able, and there are places where spot and stalk with a rifle is dang near impossible. I get to hunt where the land features allow a decent chances of spot and stalk with the bow.
It's not easy, but what I love about it is that you're always in the game. Mess up a stalk, get on a hill, and spot the next stalker. I always target lone animals, but the buck that I got was in a herd of 9 bucks, so it is possible even when in a heard.

Knowing some of the yokels I've run into in the woods, this seems like a great way to get your ass shot off/perforated with a broadhead...
