So here we are camped by where i would normally be bow hunting deer and elk if i still hunted CO. I have been sitting in the truck with the heater going for 45 minutes cause i cant take the cold like i used to! But seeing all the guys leaving camps makes me wish i had a tag i was bunked with my son and he keeps stealing all the damn blankets and finally i couldnt take it anymore, its finally up to 41° now, it was 35° when i hit the truck. Of course i didnt pack very good because i didnt think we would end up clear the hell up here fishing when we left the house but so far the mountain lake fishing has sucked! Probably hit Joe Wright and a few spots on the Poudre today on the way home. But we have seen lots of wildlife and had a bunch of coyotes howling at us last night, spent some time talking to the game warden or whatever they are called now?

Good luck to all the hunters! I will be heading to Nebraska soon

I was wishing for some of that Cold! Saturday Lamar area had a high of 106 degrees around noon. It was 85 by 8am! Temp stayed at 101 degrees for most if the day until after 5pm.

Went out again today.. temp was over 90 by 8am.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

It was perfect bow hunting weather, it rained every night and was nice and chilly in the mornings and the highs were in the 70's. For camping it wasnt so good. But compared to 5 years ago when i quit hunting that area because it was hot and so dang dry you could hear people walking 3 miles away.
