Canning is quickly becoming a lost art. I am so glad I was able to learn from my Grandma, because my mom wanted nothing to do with it.

The family is getting together here soon to have a big canning party and the wife and I are really looking forward to it... by the way she's very envious of that 5 gallon chili pot. Where do I get one of those for her?

As far as the pot i do not know where i picked it up. i use it for brewing mostly. being super tall it is miserable to clean i know there are a great selection of pots at the cresco restaurant supply off 6th and I 225 in Aurora. Like pots almost 30 gallons in capacity selection.

I think it is coming back. 10 years ago there was 1/2 a rack of canning goods at king soopers. Now there is twice that. Big canning displays here in Oregon at Bi-Mart and other stores.

I need to have another class. It was popular a couple of years ago.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

I would also be interested even though I have been doing it for years, I am sure there are some tricks I have not learned yet.

Much like a few buddies of mine getting together once in a while to brew beer together, you learn a different way to do many things.

Where does everyone pick up their bulk vegetables for canning if you don't have a garden?
