I know there in the family place in Cherry Creek but at almost $25 a visit it seems a little steep too. I've heard that there are a few places in Pike's Peak Natl. Forest, like kelsey creek, but that's about it. I dont know anything more. I'm used to being able to drive 30 min in any direction and shooting on public lands, but I get the feeling like that's not a reality here in Denver. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there is already a thread that addresses this concern feel free to point me in that direction. Thanks

pawnee is the best bet. not terribly far and you can clearly see if its safe to shoot in an area. plenty of berms if you know where to go to shoot into. can easily shoot out to 1000 yards. best to talk to some folks that know the area well enough to give you a decent spot though because some of the land is private
