Glad to see this post as I recently moved back to the big city after 30 years in the Roaring Fork Valley. Had multiple locations for outdoor shooting and a great outdoor range up there. Just drive 15 - 30 min and shoot just about anything ya wanted to.
And for the first time ever, I just went to an indoor range in Lakewood (Blue Core) and really enjoyed that. Nice range and very affordable for an hr with 2 pistols.
