well, good news...i finally drained the fuel filter of the water, but I still have the water in fuel light on when the HT starts up. I had hoped...but time to swap the filter! I just don't trust that damn plastic drain valve...

Just get up 30-40 and back out of the throttle. Then push the button and it should be very clear the change. . Mine is on/off with a switch and vacuum operated.

When on it engages anytime you back off the throttle but I have seen manual ones. They are very useful on the Dodge.

had tmleadr03 come over and look at the dang thing. Damn, did i buy a fixer upper.
So far, repairs are gonna run around 3500 just to make it nice to drive. Sigh, wife is not happy about this one.

tmleadr03, use him and abuse him!!! Great guy to work with. I still like honky tonk, and the kids love it more. Dog likes her seat so time to get this thing fixed!!!

That is sad. I had work done on my front end after I bought it. I still remember the guy telling me the change in price on the drag link.

I do have one new issue that will be hard to track down but I may just shotgun it and be done. Had the leak on the return hose that I fixed but now I have the "not holding fuel after 2 days" issue. I think the best way is just to replace the lines and be done with it.

All in all the $$$ I have spent in repairs is minor compared to the time I have had it. It was my daily driver for 6 years and that was not good on it since it is only 4 miles to work.
