It looks like Denver has switched form appt to walk-ins four days a week?

From the web-site:

Permit applications are processed on a walk-in, first come, first served basis Tuesday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., excluding Holidays.

UPDATE:
I went on Friday for a renewal. You get scanned by the metal detector, and then they have you sit in the lobby with all the people coming in from the street. Whatever.

Took about 30-40 minutes to be seen. The metal detector guy gives you a numbered laminated card. It starts at number 7, I don't know why. I waited about 30-40 minutes till someone came out and asked who was there for CCW. There were about 5 people, but I was the only one to get up. I think the others were there for the sexual predator registration. Either someone has a sense of humor, they think CCWers are like child molesters, or they think that evertually the problem will just work itself out

So no appt. necessary. She took my stuff and even printed off a new card for me since the expiring one was starting to fall apart. She said if you are going to carry it in your wallet all the time (who doesn't???) you should laminate it to protect it.

The major change was that she said I would get a letter saying that I my renewal was ready and that I have to come down to pick it up. I though they just mailed out the CCW when I was got my last one.

Kind of a pain. Nice lady cop. Saw an NRA sticker on one of the lockers. I hope they work under 90 days since my current one would expire a few days before that.
