bug in house design advice
i am currently working with a few home designers to build a house and to do so with defense and survival in mind (a few of them do these types as a profession). the one problem i am seeming to run into is a matter of water and septic. my wife wants to be near to town because the liklihood of really bad scenarios occurring are fairly low. fine. most of these places seem to be on city water and sewer. are there any times whatsoever you can put in a well and septic even if city water and sewer are at the line?

Escaped From New York
I personaly do not know how Colorado works their city water and waste.
In N.Y.C. you were allowed to have a well, many buisnesses did for when there were drought restrictions on city water. And septics were not allowed due to the space required by code, unless of course you had sufficient space to meet code requirement.
I would think that they would permit certain buisnesses In Col. city limits to have wells so not to strain the rest of the water supply, just makes sense to me anyways.

not easily done in the city, but there are certain areas that are still unincorporated county in the middle of the city.
