I thought this was supposed to open this past Spring!
Real nice that it will open during the coldest part of the year!!!!!
Saw them moving earth last week.
Curious to how this will work and the hours.
Nice that it will be 5 minutes from the house but I hope it is not full of BS rules.
    We will see.

Me as well. I belong to Frontier but it is 20 min away.
If the public range is going to open in Oct, they have a LOT of work to do!
I just read the post paper like others do. Was on the front page last week. Just remember us old guys that used to shoot on post all the time and had to go to private ranges have CRS= "Can't remember shit"

I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

Just curious but why all the dislike of firearms registration? It sounds a little bit like Dale Gribble to me.

Because the government does not need yet another way of tracking who owns what, where they live, storage location of said firearm, etc. What happens when you FTF sell something, and Carson MP's still have it on file? It becomes a headache if there are ever questions and opens up too much scrutiny and documented evidence of ownership. It also requires a special trip to Gate 1, a waiting period, and any time you get a new rifle or pistol and want to try it out you can't until it's registered. Not being subject to the CG's rule on this, I too must politely decline any and all registration. Provost Marshall and all his goons can pound sand.

If you are lucky and get a random vehicle inspection and you have un-registered weapons in your vehicle, they just tell you to turn around and leave the post.

If one is a Solider this could be used against you. For me I might register one that is all out there but I am a DOD employee.

For the troops it just becomes another tag they can use if you have even the smallest scrape with the law.

Like many I was once a young Solider and the Army loves to use anything they can now-a-days against one. Seen it first hand. We also have many members of the Military here and I would hate to see them get screwed over because of this. Just my two cents.

How so? I'm not doubting you; I'm genuinely interested in knowing how this might affect me negatively. For what it's worth, I am a Soldier here on Carson.

SLOW DOWN FOLKS!!!!!!! I have been a active duty Soldier for 17 yrs and have spent the last 10+ yrs at carson give or take a year here and there. The firearms I use on a reular basis ie.. hunting, target are registerd with the PMO and I live in Pueblo. I have went thru the gate one Monday morning for PT with unregistered gun that was left after a sunday winter rabbitt hunt "sigle shot .410" and was asked to turn around. As for the "Use against you thing" I dont think so!!
