    You must not have been in long then. The psychopaths that run soldiers lives will use any leverage then can against soldiers, even for completely unrelated infractions.

    That, and it's none of their fucking business. I have not used nor will I ever use Range 1 or the public range. Plenty of other spots to shoot that are low cost or free.

    When you have leadership fighting to get obviously broken soldiers to deploy for "numbers" then half of another company goes home for no real reason, yeah something is wrong upstairs in the heads of that leadership.

    After E-7 there needs to be a mandated semi-annual psychological fitness exam.

    That is the rub these days. If you step out of line or have any issue at all it always comes back to "But he has guns"

    For the younger soldiers that are married heaven help you if your wife ever get's pissed at you. There is more at play but it is much safer if one applies the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy to firearms ownership.

    I know some of the more senior Military membership may be along to slap my hand but it is what it is.
