Ate some of these on a deployment in Africa. Seemed like there was some kind of pineapple cake that tasted okay.

Just like MRE's they have got better. I remember a time when there were 4-5 good ones and 10-15 bad ones 25 years ago.

Yeah the current crop of MREs ain't bad. Wouldn't want to spend a month eating them, but for a couple days in the woods, it's definitely decent enough grub.

Had them for up to 7 months at a time. Not all 3 meals but more than I wanted.
