I'm heading up to our Elk Camp tomorrow morning for the last week of Archery season. The weather has been so dang nice that I'm afraid the rut is late this year. I sure hope we get into them this time. Wish us luck, Lord knows we need it.

Best of luck Larry I seen a lot of elk on georgia pass. I also noticed they all had their horns polished I did not see anything in velvet. I also seen a ton of trees that felt the wrath of them removing the velvet.

    good luck!

Well Darn it all to heck! Part one of my Big Game Hunt has come to a close and all I have to show for it is a Grouse. And just as I thought the weather was just too warm and dry this year, but I really enjoyed the time in the woods. I'm hoping to see a nice big Cow during 2nd Rifle season next month. My friend Dave poked this one and one more with my junk arrows and lost two arrows. Thanks Dave LOL! I lost three arrows and broke one on three different birds, I watched one of them fly away with it stuck in it's body. It kept going down this steep cayon probably 300 yards. (Yote's will be eating good tonight)

we should get to gether a small hunt of sorts... pheasants, grouse, dove ...etc.

I've had a combo license for the past several years,... have yet to use the hunting part of them.
