Some of us have discussed these scenarios locally. The i want it now because i am entitled to it, only Now is 2-3 days late at first. 2-3 days morphs in to 1 week then the inability to access their money because the 'mobs' have destroyed any inkling of sanity in the hood. Once the urban area ignites with the "winds of change" it will spread until fire is fought with fire. Not a pretty sight but very realistic all the same.
I remember watching watts and NYC on tv. My old man was this < side of retiring and a lot of nypd live in our area. Interesting how the cops felt about leaving their families unattended because they were mobilized with the intent of halting the spread of violence. Of course mom had one of the old mans S&W's by her side.

I could give 2 shit about color, 1/2 the folks (ok 1/3) i know are darker than me. It is what's in their hearts and eyes i'll be worried about. Hate, anger, hunger and mob mentality are color blind.

I know nothing about the author but it sounds about right to me. Some worry about the government taking their guns away, I worry about events described in the story above.

The author, Matthew Bracken, wrote the 3 books in the Enemies series: Enemies Foreign and Domestic, Domestic Enemies- The Reconquista, and Foreign Enemies and Traitors.

The government will be too busy trying to figure out why their inner city "pets" who have had everything given to them are suddenly chewing off the hand that feeds them.
