    Default Leatherman 25 Year Warranty

Leatherman offers a 25 year warranty on tools and 10 year warranty on LED lights.

I recently took them up on that offer when I broke the small screwdriver on my 20+ year old WAVE.

    The warranty indicates that :

    1. Fill out the form
    2. Sign the form
    3. Send in the tool at your expense; insurance recommended ( it cost me $5.00 w/ shipping & Insurance)
    4. Your Options:
      1. Repair or replace the tool (Leatherman's discretion) and they keep the old tool
      2. Return the tool if unrepairable and you want to keep the old tool for sentimental value
    5. New 25 year Warranty

Sent in my WAVE on a Saturday.
Got an email the next Thursday that my "Warranty Work" had been shipped.

Got a new WAVE and case 5 days later (about 10 days from when I sent it in).

I have no other personal experience of ANY company (except the old Sears Craftsman warranty) honoring a 25 year warranty. I'm Sure there are some, but I have not run into them.

I hope you consider LEATHERMAN (and not the clones) for your next multi tool.

Needless to say, I was impressed.

Took mine a little longer to get back but other than the shipping to them there was no other charges. I had broke the pliers.
    But I didn't get a new case ! ..........

The "new case" depends on whether you got an exact "repair/replacement" or "replacement with an updated model".

Since mine was quite old, it was slimmer than the new WAVE and they sent along the new case. Had they just repaired it or replaced it with an "identical" model, I'd have not gotten a case.
