Default Being Seen - not Signaling

Searched around, but didn't find a good thread for my question.

I'm looking for suggested ways to be seen, but not necessarily Signaling for help.

I walk a bit to the bus stop, which is now in lower light and will be more dark in the evening. I normally choose colors for my coats and packs to be more toward the natural environment colors. I'm difficult to see already.

I want ideas of things to attach to me or my backpack so that I'm seen. And in an emergency situation, can be used in the same way. To Be Seen if needed.

    1. Light weight.
    2. Easy to pack.

    Blinking bike lights?
    Types of reflective materials?
Construction Vest? I have one and the reflective strips in it would be great.

Interesting, I googled it and that might work. Turns out there are similar items on ebay for cycling and such. I might have to look into this, could be perfect.

Google around for motorcycle, bicycle "be seen", reflective, etc. There are quite a few innovative items out there.

    Stay safe.

If you would like something reflective. BUT very easy to remove if you need to high tail it. I have some 4" wide Black reflective tape. easy to stick on blends in with dark colored items, when light hits it, lights up like a 6P sure fire.

    The snap bands look interesting.

I've used something similar to those snap bands, and they worked well. When I lived in NY state, I commuted year-round by bicycle, and those were very useful (as well as other items).

I like the flashing lights cyclists use if you really want to be seen. Movement or flashing attracts the eye, plus you are emitting light not just reflecting. Drunks regularly forget to turn on their headlights, so they may not be emitting light for you to reflect.

I'd just put some solas tape and put a strip on your backpack you can see that stuff for miles. It's expensive but if you look on ebay there are people that sell it by the foot.

They sell glowsticks at most stores that have an led flashlight with a blink setting. Should find them on clearance after halloween. They have a whistle and white light also. Claim 200 hrs on the flashing setting.

I was thinking something like a raid jacket. With Velcro flaps over reflective lettering.
