    How did they not get shot?
    Big billy badass was probably bluffing with an unloaded pistol. Pretty damn stupid to get right in close like that, although the whole situation reeks of stupidity.

    The article states that the gun was loaded with 5 rounds.

    ”The gun was loaded, police said, with five bullets.”
