I am looking for a good knife to use when I am hunting deer and elk. I have several small blade knives that work for gutting and fine work but I would like a larger skinner as well. I used a Buck Bantam that I got as a gift to gut, skin, and quarter my elk this year. It worked well, but the handle is camo and every time I set it down I just about lost it. I am leaning towards an Esee in their Venom color just so there is no way to misplace this thing. What are your thoughts on a good standout knife for skinning and using around camp.
