I've got two ranchers in eastern Colo. that told me that they have seen a wolf in recent years. One rancher actually saw the "wolf" on two different occasions and the other rancher got a real up close look at the one he saw. From their descriptions to me, if it were truly a wolf that they saw, it was not the same wolf.

I know it's possible, but I pretty much in the back of my head doubt it. But then last winter while calling coyotes on the one ranch, I was using vocals, and I got a vocal response that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Wolf sounding for sure, but I never got to see it. So then I started thinking the old rancher wasn't off his rocker after all.

Remember, just two years ago a wolf was killed in KS. as well. So they do wander through these parts.
