I thought about it. But I might have an opportunity to fish some private lakes tomorrow. Weather pending.

I hit up the "tourney" with my wife and some friends. Fishing was slow but I think that's what you get with 410 fisherman in a small area, who knows. My wife had a bite and a friend lost one at the hole. 1st and 2nd place fish were suckers. It was a pretty good time even if the fishing was slow. Next year I will be fishing dirty with dough balls and corn.

Auger, do you mean carp or suckers? There are HUGE carp in 11 Mile. I caught one out of the boat a few years ago that easily went 12 pounds. After ice out you can see the winter killed ones down in Cross Creek and i know some go over 20 lbs.

I hear you on the tourney. I fished it last year and its a circus - I didnt enjoy it. Some guys got busted using live minnows last year.

No, I was talking about the Chatfield tournament, guess I should have clarified that...

1st place was a sucker that weighed something like 2.7 pounds. 2nd was a sucker that weighed around 2.3 pounds I think. $2500 for a sucker!

I heard about those people using live bait at 11 Mile. Punks!

I hit up Aurora res today for the first time. The focus was perch, which proved difficult. The 80+ holes I drilled produced 7 trout and 2 small (maybe 16") walleyes. Felt good to catch some eyes!

We tried Chatty for the first time. There are no fish in that place,,,LOL

However there were a group of 3 ladies that were there with 2 small dogs and they left, on our way out we found they had dropped a bucket with all their poles in it.
we have posted on the 2 forums I know of and there was a CO Womens Flyfishers bag in there, i sent them an email telling them about the find, hopefully they are still members or communicate enough so that I can get them their gear back.

Gonna stick to Mtn lakes cuase at least I can see a fish.
