I fish all year except during the winter. Just don't feel like I can afford to spring for all the gear this year especially after getting fly fishing gear this summer. Good luck out there.

I grew up in Minnesota ice fishing with my dad.. we used to slay the Walleyes while listening to the Vikes on the radio.. good times.

I have all the gear: sled, portable shelters, tackle, Vexilar, gas auger, etc... I find myself actually going out less and less each year. I think I went out ony 3x last season. Went to Chatfield south ponds today. About 3" of ice. Little thin but fished for a couple of hours anyway. 5 perch and 1 sunfish. All about 6" no keepers. But I didn't get skunked for the 1st trip out.
