"Combat" knife?

Not too big, not too heavy, easy to handle quickly, and not a folder.

I have some that fit that bill but I don't think they are fit for fighting due to the lack of a good guard (bolster?) to keep my hand from slipping up onto the blade if used in a stabbing motion.
