Heard on the radio yesterday that there is a job fair on 3/17/11 at the Hotel on Quebec & MLK Blvd. Supposed to be 50 employers looking to hire.
Sorry I didn't catch anymore details, I was driving a large CDL type truck at the time.
So hold off on the green beer for a little while and check it out if you are looking for employment.

There are a few high paying Fed jobs popping up the last couple weeks...

I have a senior position open. This is a Microsoft centric position, looking for Exchange 2010, SharePoint, VMware, NetApp, SAN (any vendor but Compelent is what we use), backup systems including Backup Exec, data domain and tape units.
Lots of other skills helpful including wan and lan routing, security both host based and IDS systems, Citrix admin a big plus.
This position will help set direction, think of it as more of a design/architect then admin position but we are small (700 users) so you will get your hands dirty.
Light travel only, position is downtown Denver and pay is around the 100k mark plus benefits. This is not a contract to hire, no placements.
I would expect at least 10+ years in the business with solid experience in multiple mid to large networks. Oil industry experience helps as well.
I am interviewing over the next 2 weeks so if you have the skill set and are interested PM my for my email and send in a resume.
You guys are seeing this first; I know there are some serious IT chops around this place:
IEEE Standards, in Piscataway, NJ, USA, is looking for experienced IT contractors in a Linux environment. The work varies but strong skills in one or more of these areas are required: system programming, web application development, systems administration.
The technical environment is predominantly Open Source. The human environment is collegial, and the work is interesting. Your contributions will likely be visible to the outside world and not buried within a closed corporate environment. This work may be done by a telecommuter, though some travel (infrequent) may be required.
Your resume should include experience in several of these areas:
Apache, mod_perl, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Perl, Ruby, Java, postfix, UNIX systems programming, systems administration, failover/reliability design or administration, configuration management, security administration, infrastructure monitoring.
The successful sysadmin candidate will have several years' experience administrating production services and systems. Command-line administration and scripting skills are required.
The classic "jack of all trades” admin/programmer or developer may move among projects doing task-oriented assignments or go deep on one project. A good understanding of the interactions among multiple architecture elements and protocol layers is useful as he/she designs, modifies, or administrates various elements of the infrastructure.
USENIX or O'Reilly Open Source conference attendance or training is usually relevant.
Please send your resume and required compensation to work@standards.ieee.org.
