Software Engineer, Aurora, CO - ISYS Technologies is currently hiring a Software Engineers to join our software engineering team. Software Engineer:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Apply basic software engineering techniques associated with Java development, including design, construct and unit test.
Provide support to integration and formal testing.
Interact with Systems Engineering to ensure the proper interpretation of Operational Concepts and the satisfaction of system requirements.
Produce documentation related to the design and release of software, including, but not limited to, Rational Software Architect design diagrams, Functional Capabilities, and User's Manuals.
Follow program standards and practices for all phases of development
Provide weekly status to team lead.

Required skills:
Experience in object-oriented software design and development using C++ or Java, versioning control, documenting bugs/fixes.
Proficiency in Unix, Linux, and Windows Operating Systems and development environment
Knowledge of troubleshooting, testing, fixing & configuration management techniques and tools.

Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Oracle Experience with XML
JEE experience
SQL databases
Multiple scripting languages (shell, perl, python, java, etc)
JBoss
Corba (Jacorb, micoOrb, TaoOrb, OmniOrb)
Maintaining development environment
source control, documenting, reporting (subversion, bugzilla, etc.)
development tools (eclipse, netbeans, command line)

I thought I would put this out there. My dad is looking to move out here from Wisconsin. He has done a lot of things (forklift driver, foundry work, crane operator, security, truck driver Class B and A)

He drove Class B for years and loved it. Decided to get a Class A, and his boss had a brain Anyurism (sp?) and the company kinda went downhill from there. He had his CDL now but no experience. Has been working as a security officer at a hospital ever since. I am afraid it is going to kill him so.

My dad is the hardest working man I know, so I thought I would throw this out there and maybe a company out there is looking for a long term guy. or I could get a couple leads to pass on to him. I also have a copy of his resume that he gave me as well.
