I defended these guys earlier in this thread, but now Im joining the -100...

I dropped by tonight and this is how things went:

Me: Its probably a long shot, but do you have any AR mags?
GM: Yeah, we just got in 200 Bushmaster mags
    Me: How much?
    GM: 30 dollars each
Me: You mean 30 rounds each?
GM: Nope, 30 dollars each magazine
Me: Ah, okay. Well, have a good night

I used to like going into Gander Mountain to just look around. Last time I was in there I found out they are now charging a fee to use their small conference room and I noticed their prices are WAY too high. Also, their staff in the firearms section know jack & squat about their product line. So on that note...I won't be back, ever.

gander mountain isn't bad for ammo, but the staff there is so lame. My girlfriend is an experienced shooter and we went in there because she wanted to look at a benelli, and they treated her like she was stupid. To top it off they lied to her to cover their tracks when they got caught with their pants down on a question. The staff is just lame

You must not have stepped INSIDE the store then.

    Freakin worthless.

Their reloading section is down to 1 of those half aisles they have in front of the gun counter. Only 3 presses, and hardware is damn near impossible to find.

Couldn't find a shell holder for .223, they have dies for things like .22 Hornet and .25 Auto, but no .223 or .308 dies to be seen.

Gun prices are even more outrageous than they used to be (GSG-1911 for over $400, compared to $300 and change from Protekt) and more bullcrap.

    Never going back there again.

I've had problem after problem with Gander Mtn. And they stock very little for reloaders or people who like to clean their guns. On two occasions I went down there for nothing on bad info from the salesmen in the gun section. Most recently I went there with a list of things a friend gave me for breaking in and cleaning my new Rem 700. They didn't even have ONE single thing on my list. SW had each and every item. Prices are always higher at GM too.

As Trump would say "I have to say, GM . . . you're fired."

From the California Attorney General's office, but most states are like this:

What documentation is acceptable to demonstrate proof of residency for handgun purchasers?

-Utility bill from within the past three months that bears on its face the individual's name and either of the following:
    http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/dlrfaqs.php

    It's number 33.

    From Tennessee:

Why do I have to show proof of address if the address on my identification doesn't match where I live? Why isn't a post office box good enough for an address?

-All federal firearms dealers are required to make sure that the purchaser's correct and current residence address are listed on the form. Since a post office box doesn't indicate residence, it is unacceptable for address purposes. If your primary identification does not show your current residence address, you must show proof of address through an acceptable secondary form of identification.

Neither of those are Colorado, and California has notoriously strict gun laws (obviously).

I have purchased many firearms from dealers, and the only place I was asked for a utility bill was at Gander.

The 2nd one specifically says it is federal law that an address has to be verified.
