    Default Bead blasting?

Not sure if I should have put this in the wanted section of the trading post or here.
I have a blade coated in KG gunkote and I would like to remove it so that I can either polish the blade or stonewash it, haven't made up my mind yet.

Anyone know of someone in the Littleton area who could blast this for me? I think my project is too small for most of the places I've found on line.
    Thanks for any help!

I've often thought about getting a bead blasting setup, how much does that usually run if you can find some good used equipment?

Glass beads may not be aggressive enough, you may want to hit it with aluminum oxide first to remove the finish then follow up with beads to give it back some sheen.

The blast cabinet is only part of it. You've GOT to have enough air compressor to run it, and a dust collector too, the cabinet is useless otherwise. They're nice to have and handy, but a commitment. Mine is just a Harbor Freight cheapo, but I was lucky and found a killer compressor of Craigslist for $150. I use a Rigid shop vac and a Dust Deputy cylone dust collector. It's a good enough setup for small stuff and light use, but for serious work you're gonna need serious equipment, a serious investment, and a serious place to put it. Not really worth it for just hobbyist use, you'd have to really use it a lot to justify it.

I started out with a generic ToolZone cabinet. I spent quite a bit of time and effort trying to keep the media IN the cabinet.
Found a screaming deal on CL for a commercial setup and cannot be happier.
Compressor is critical. It takes volume, not pressure to get good results. I have a 60 gallon 5 hp two stage and it still cycles more than I care for.
Realistically if you are doing it on an infrequent basis buy somebody the beer who has one already.

I have five compressors running my blast cabinet. Each one puts out over 2,000 horsepower. Never had a shortage of air.

It takes quite a bit of air to run a blast cabinet. My compressor at home is a 7 HP, single stage with a 50 gallon tank. No way it will keep up with a cabinet.
