    Default Props for Larue

I know I am not stating anything new here, but I wanted to throw out props to Larue. I placed an order last Sunday night for some Troy folding sights. Monday AM I had a tracking number and UPS has just left the package on my door. Nice quick processing.

In addition, as I am sure you all know, the box had the sights I ordered, plus:
    • A cool Larue hat
    • Dillo Dust (which I was running low on)
    • A "Happy Holidays 2012" gold colored Beverage Entry Tool
    • 2 bumper stickers
    • A DVD of the 10th Annual International Sniper Competition.
    • 3 copies of a pocket edition of the U.S. Constitution

I could have saved about $2 by ordering the sights from someone else, and maybe could have found a free shipping deal, but the experience makes me feel good.... all the extras are worth more than the $10 shipping.

Good stuff comes from Leander Texas.

One of my OBRs was built on Sept 11th 2011. I happened to be in Austin working some forest fires and spoke with Mark for a bit.

How much do you want for the dillo dust?

From the label - Ingredients: Sugar, Salt, Paprika, Chili pepper, Celery, Garlic, Comino.

Now you just have to figure out the correct ratio of ingredients.

I'd put that Dillo Dust on everything, kinda like I do with Tony's today. Shit those are the only two seasonings ya need, hahaa! Well that and Garlic Salt, I'm an addict.

It's been so long I forgot when I ordered, heh. Need to check my emails, but still waiting too. I'm sure it'll be worth it though, so don't worry. I wanted a really lightweight and well-built AR. LaRue is very reputable for quality.

I just spoke with LaRue sales. He said "Sorry bud, we can't give ANY idea on when your rifle will be built, OR where you are in queue." Regardless of if I give them my order# and date, etc. They can't tell you anything.

I understand why, but it still sucks not knowing. You would think they would have a good idea on how many basic builds they can produce, and how long it takes for each one, then have a list of rifle orders in queue, then some simple math to give an ESTIMATE anyway. Afterall everything is computerized, or should be. But I'm no business owner, so maybe it's way more complicated than that?...

But no big gripes since they don't charge until it's ready to go.

Just talked to someone down there to place an order for an OBR.. "Your looking at a year or more for delivery"..

    Wheeeeee...
