Recoil was a consideration, but with brakes/cans/stocks almost any round can be tamed. Barrel life was a consideration for sure, but thats just part of it. I think asking what is the best round for X distance is like asking if blondes, redheads, or brunettes are better in the sack, its all subjective and dependent on a lot of variables.
