RIP - IN MEMORIAM - You will be missed
Plaster's book has numerous error's and is not the best reference beyond basic stuff . If you want a book on just shooting look at Tubb's books .
Benches are a waste of time in my book , get in the dirt . There won't be any benches out in the field .
Come to one of the PD matches at PWSA and find one of us and we can hook you up with an instructor who can teach everything from the basics to advanced stuff , his day job can sometimes make scheduling a chore though .

Or if you have the money, go see RayDog http://www.bigamericanman.com/firearms-training/ . Ray would be and is my first choice ( or Zak ) for Rifle training, or carbine or Tact Pistol. I know a lot of shooters, good shooters. I shoot a lot, I train others and RayDog is where trainers go to get trained.
