    This is a great idea for the Jeepers/off-roaders on this board. Hell, this would be great behind my fifth wheel. But, in the middle of becoming one of those Jeepers. Once that is done, I will be looking at trailers. Shameless plug for a great idea.

    I like the trailer idea. For me though, the JK has the right amount of room to be compact and still carry everything we need in a protected shell. Every time we go camping is a great test cycle.

    I have a bmw x5 and a Subaru legacy gt.. even though I think the x5 would do better in a 4x4 situation I would still take the Subaru because of fuel economy. Diesel is always your best bet though for a bug-out vehicle just because it will run on pretty much anything including fryer grease and engine oil.
