And how does this compare to say Armalite for quality, etc.?

The lower is acctually a Stag 308 lower stamped M&P, so yes it will take SR25 mags. Quality? its like comparing green apples to red apples. My only conern is the barrel, it seems to get the best range out of a .308 the standard is 1-11.25 twist, were the S&W is 1-10 twist, also S&W seems to be a mid length gas system on their 18inch.

I shoot lefty and this comes with an ambi mag release, bolt catch, and safety selector. Just wish it has the Magpul Grip on it.
