Default New 1000yrd range at Pawnee Sportsman's Center!

Pawnee Sportsman's Center just put in a new 1000yrd range and outfitted it with a bunch of our steel. I know people are always looking for a place to shoot long range. Steel starts at 400 and goes to 1k with plans to eventually expand in size and distance I believe. Its a nice range and the few times I've been there, the 1k range hasn't been very busy.

Pretty cool spot... i like it and plan on using it more often.

Here's the lay out they give you when you get there.

Very nice. Maybe they don't have too many out there on the 1000yd range due to their website says their rifle range maxes out at 250yds. http://pawneesports.com/Rifle-Pistol.htm

I think it's because they are still working on bettering that range. Right now, there is probably space for 20 shooters (+/- 5).
They have plans of raising the shooting platform a couple of more feet off the ground to get a clearer shot at the 800 yards and plans on putting a roof over the shooting platform.
It's really cool out there for sure.

I make it up there occasionally when I visit family in Ft. Collins. I have always enjoyed shooting out there (despite the drive) because you are treated like an adult. I was unaware of the new 1000 yrd range, that just increases my affection for the place.

Foot standing water, maybe. Depending on how windy it is. It's been so dry, it was either soaked up, or washed the targets away. Hbar is out that way, touch bases with him for ground conditions.
