I've carried a Glock 27 on my ankle for the past 10 years with an Uncle Mike's holster. Cheap and worked like it should for all those years. I am getting away from the heavier 27 though for something smaller like a Shield or Bodyguard. I was surprised how much I didn't realize it was there most of the time and that a cheap holster lasted that long (and was worn almost 24/7).

Renegade Cozy for me too. Colt Detective Special. I have a crippled up left leg that is about half the size of my right leg. Works great to conceal the little revolver. I drive a lot and it is very comfortable.

I've carried a smith and wesson snub nose in an ankle holster, but it really only stays up if I wear boots with it. In sneakers it seems to slide down while I walk the dog. Not in love with it.

Boot cut jeans are your friends. Seriously ankle is one of the best and most comfortable methods, especially if you're wearing athletic clothes that print a normal holster like crazy. I tried the 5.11 shirts but found them to be very chafing with much motion, unless you had a shirt under them, which makes you pretty hot even in winter. They are great for concealing other things that are not so heavy though

Technically, you're supposed to wear the gun on the inside of your weak-side ankle. Right. Tried that, it rode on my ankle bone, that was good for about 2 minutes. It's been on the outside of my strong-side ankle for years now, and I don't know it's there unless I stomp my feet to get snow off in the winter.

HINT: You DON'T want to get one of the holsters without a rolled edge on the strap around your ankle. It's like a razor in no time. I wore a Walther PPS until I got my Kimber Solo 9 to work without failures, and haven't looked back.
