Yes indeed, I registered. Took a bit for the e-mail to arrive.
The three silencers were in a case and a bag left on a bench during a cease fire for lunch at a private range with the only people there being the range owner and a group of fellow students from my school. After lunch I finished packing up, put everything in the truck and went home - unpacking held the nasty discovery of missing items.any description of persons of vehicle's? where they left sitting on a bench or in a car? what happened.
After that, I called and asked the folks who were at the range longer if I had simply left them there by accident - no luck, and no one is talking.![]()
Welcome to the forum. I would let those at the school know that whom ever took them is going to prision if they get caught. You would get less prision time for stealing a car than a NFA item.
Who ever the moron is I bet does not understand they are in possession of an unregistered NFA item. Up to ten years in club fed and up to a 250k fine. Have you contacted ATF and local law enforcement?

It's a sad state of affairs when, in a controlled situation like that, you still have to have everything locked up and bolted down to keep it from growing legs.

I hope it all works out. it really makes you think about how some people act when no one is looking. I have been to several 3 gun matches that are all day events, and people (including me) just leave there guns and gun bags sitting by the bench or a car or the back of the truck, never did I think about my stuff walking off. the people that attend these events are always the nicest and most honest people. I guess from now on I will have to keep a little better eye on my stuff at the range.
