    Any ideas?
Call the PoPo with the Serial # ready. They will run it for you.

    Default Websites

I tried 3 websites, hotgunz.com, stolenweapons.com, and firearmfax.com. Useless websites. Let me explain. I searched the serial number on all three,( had to pay for firearmfax.com) All three came back as no record, not stolen. I called the Popo's like Mx'r suggested, after giving the Lady on the phone the serial number, she said she couldn't do this over the phone, and sent two officers to the house, because it came back as a positive hit for a stolen firearm.
The gun was not stolen as it turns out, but the websites failed to catch the straight serial number search. My keltec p3at has the same serial number as a stolen .380 auto from 1972 in Houston. obviously keltec was not made in 1972, so the gun is not stolen. Don't trust these websites as they do not have access to NCIC.

    Default 2-Tone S&W M&P .40S&W - Colorado Springs

A friend & coworker returned home from vacation to find his home had been burglarized.

Sometime within the last 2 weeks his apartment was burglarized and a BRAND NEW (never fired/handled) S&W M&P .40S&W 2-Tone was taken. S/N: HUR5797. The thief/thieves did not take the box or other documentation - just the firearm and magazines (possibly other accessories inside the box).

At least one of the burglars is known, but currently on the run - he broke into & stayed in my friends home the entire time he was out of town. The known thief goes by many names, but a couple of them are Richard Baez and Richard Marinda. If you know/have contact with this individual or see a firearm matching this description, please contact the El Paso County Sheriff's Office; Reference Case # EP15102131.

Many other items were also stolen to include a Benjamin Pellet rifle S/N: 241557 (2 pics attached)
