^This! I'm working up various 45 Auto Rim loads. So far, my 25-2 really likes the 200gr HAP bullets with TG propellant.

Just loaded up 40 55gr Xtreme bullets with IMR 4064. Heading to the range now to test them at 300 yds. I'll report back when I'm done.

Did my second trial of powdercoating cast lead .45 230gr. LRN bullets with red powder from Harbor Fart. First trial was dry tumbling them, that worked OK but they weren't very pretty. Yesterday I fired up my new HF electrostatic sprayer kit and sprayed a buttload of bullets with red, and those came out AWESOME! Got a bunch loaded up, now I've gotta go shoot 'em.

Well that was the most disappointing range trip in a long time. I don't know what the problem was, but I did not have any success with reloads or factory ammo. I had a few reloads not go into battery properly, and called it quits when one didn't go into battery and when i tried to unjam it, the bullet came right out and it dumped the powder all over the inside of the chamber and the barrel.

Even my factory ammo that usually shoots about 1.25" groups at 100 yds was giving me 2"+ groups at 100yds. At 200 yds, all of my reloads gave me consistently awful groups between 4 and 6 inches, regardless of the charge. Oh yeah, the 5-15mph gusting crosswind didn't help either.

Triple check the resized brass. Both OAL of brass and finished round.

I was very careful about the brass length and the OAL. It seems that some of the brass did not get resized all the way to the rim. It was leaving dirt and oil about 5mm before the rim.
