Very cool. Would love to see pictures. I would think plastic and epoxy would be easier, but polished metal would probably work so much better... oh the ideas...

Not this guy. My first mc was painted BBQ black EVERYTHING except for the tires, lights, instrument cluster & seat. isn't going to happen. This is a basic, use what's laying around project. Right now a 44 mag case has been temporarily mounted. BUT based on the tube from spent primer mount to collecting container. It will probably be redone later to utilize thinner O.D tubing.

I was simply thinking polished metal would slide better and be less likely for the spent primers to get caught.

The I.D of the down spout allows the primers to drop freely. For the 1050 i use a 223 case that the base was cut off. Hopefully have this "short" project done later today.I've been SQUIRREL, side tracked last few SQUIRREL days.

yeppers thats what i'm going off. Sure it's $25 and ready to go. 3 x 25 is $75 out of pocket, when i have everything somewhere in parts bins. Besides who doesn't mind spending untold hours building a better mousetrap.

I was thinking a hose barb secured to a gasket, and screwed into place like in the photos for the previously mentioned product.

However, now I'm thinking a plastic hose, clamped to the bottom of a small funnel. Of course you'll have a T-fitting with a check valve attached to a second hose that runs to a fire place bellows on the floor directly under the press. With cane in hand, each time you pull the handle, the cane will pump the bellows, creating negative pressure in the catch tube that will help suck the primer out to your catch bin (probably an old cat litter box or that diorama of Ford's theater you made in the fifth grade).

Maybe you need to stay out of the medicine cabinet. I could envision this set up, that's troubling. If i set the pneumatics up right, in to a collector over at the recycle shop. This keeps 1 maybe 2 vehicles off the road, the environment is that much safer between reduced carbon footprint and the spent primers are no longer putting airborne particulates into the atmosphere. I like it.
