I finally actually loaded something in my newly remodeled loading room. 200 rounds of .260 isn't much of an accomplishment, but it's a start. The biggest hassle was finding everything.

Trying to settle on a 125gr load for the 38spl, so #1 son can get more confident with the revolver. Created this chart based on Speer13 and Hodgon2016 annual. This is for Win 231
I'm using a plated bullet so I think I will go with 4.2 gr per a recommendation from an old ICORE guy. This was the load he said to use for steel challenge.
Primed 100 cases for Raton this weekend. Will throw powder and stuff bullets tomorrow evening.
will work for:
bullets primers & brass
XTR II 4 x 20 SCR
XTR II 5x25 SCR
XTR II 3x15 SCR
XTR III 5.5x30 SCR
Hawkins Precision
Looked up data for cfe223 and the ar10. So, do I need to load way down or buy an adjustable gas block. I tried my bolt loads 43.1 grains of h4895, 168 hpbt and fgmm in federal brass and it blew primers and had huge ejector stamps. Not good. I have a bunch of cfe and would like to head that way, but the internet is spoiling me. 😳

Try a lighter projectile like 125-130 grain range with the CFE. You should be able to get 3200 fps out of a 24" barrel....
I might even have some... In the trading post...
Or check out Hodgdons site for the cfe 223 load data. Looks like they show plenty of loads from 130 - 208 grain projectiles.

I have plenty of data, I was hoping someone has run the 168 cfe combo in a dpms ar10 and could help me avoid pitfalls. I've read a few stories about increased pressure due to over gassing. I've got a ladder loaded up, but range time is scarce for me, so others experience could be helpful.

300 BO test loads 125gn SST with Accurate #9 from 12.1 gn to 14.1 gn.
I got in 2k 230gr 45 pulled Bullets. 6.4cents each. Be interesting to see how they shoot.

Organized the bullet storage cabinet. Had to make room for the 168 gr. BTHP hornady 308 match bullets. Should have ordered 1k, instead of 500.
Oh well, the up side........... I can now sit closer to the presses![]()

Wrapped up processing 21,000 40 S&W cases. Not a small project.
Also loaded up 300 rounds of 6CM with H-1000 and 115gn Sierra (DTAC) Matchkings.
