I converted all my Dillon 550 and 650 toolheads to locking. Tapped the hole where the retaining pin goes through the toolhead and inserted #4-40 Helicoil inserts. Replaced the pin with #4-40 x 1/2" SHCS. Now the toolhead stays tight up against the top of the press. I was getting seating depth variations on my 550 with precision ammo. I think this will fix it.

I've been doing that for a while on the 550. Been very happy with locking tool heads

What manufacturer of dies for the 6.5 are you using? Researching a set for my future 6.5C.

Hornady, since i had them. My dies of preference are dillon carbide, yet people speak highly of the hornady when using 6.5

I loaded 10 rounds of .308 using imr 4064. One ragged hole 5 shot groups at 100. I swapped over to imr 4895 at 42.5 gr with a 168. At 100, I was consistently getting one flier per 5 shot group. I numbered and loaded the same five cases five times, and the flier moved from case to case. Im a little puzzled about it, but Im thinking I just need to stick with the 4064. It would hit about half an inch to an inch outside the group in all directions. All rounds were individually loaded into the chamber, not from the mag.

If you load 308, it's the same shell plate

Unfortunately I don't. Almost bought a set of dies at Green Mountain today just for the plate but lo and behold....RCBS dies don't come with them!
