I really like the Dillon Super Swager. It is the next best thing to a 1050, IMO. Sized more .40 S&W and there is plenty more to be sized. I need powder and primers. I always need more powder and primers.
Sized .40 s&w? Are you doing it for fun or do you actually have cases that need to be resized? Or do you just do it to all of them to keep them a uniform length?

eta: Because I thought pistol brass rarely, if ever, needs to be trimmed.
2nd eta: I've measured the 1.5k pistol brass that I have and none of it was closer than 0.010" to the max length. They've all been fired 3 times now and that was after resizing. Hmm, might have to check again though

I size everything. I don't check case length or trim pistol brass. Where I am sort of anal is decapping and priming off the press.

    Thank you.
I have never used a 1050, but have been thinking about asking Dillon if there is a way to set up a swager on a 550 or 650. I use the Super Swage now, but it is still time consuming. I currently have the 550 set up with two tool heads for the 223. The first is small base size and decap with the power trimmer. If they made a swager that replaced the primer bar and stayed stationary, it would save a lot of time. Then just switch back to the primer bar for loading. Once my carbide dies come in, I will be switching the 223 to the 650.

Nope. You need to support the inside of the case when swaging. Cant get there from here on a 550/650.

I try to find ways to be productive away from a press. I have a single stage and a Lee Pro 1000. I use a Harvey Deprimer and an RCBS universal hand primer. When I actually sit down at the press, I just want to churn out finished rounds, which is pretty easy when you are feeding clean, sized, primed, cases.

Be safe out there. Don't party too much while you are on vacation either

Godspeed, and keep your powder dry, Amigo.

I rolled some .44 mag and some .223 today, but the important thing was I cleaned the reloading room. Got all the lead and scrap sorted, rearranged some crap, swept up... Oh yeah. I changed my motor oil (my reloading room is the garage).

Been a few weeks since I've even had time to touch anything in the reloading room. Nice to get away and drop into OCD mode on some rifle rounds.
