Hose do you get significant enough difference with the tipping die? I've thought of getting one. Do you trim the metplat first?

loaded up 100 hog destroyers for the LaRue. 168gr AMAX going a whopping 2430fps from the little 16" barrel. Why so slow? I want to dump all the energy into the piggie. that drops over 1500 ft/lbs of energy until about 220yds.

a buddy of mine just bought 30 more acres that he's requested help in getting the swine population out of there. Saturday is going to be awesome!!

I'm interested in hearing how the amax performs at slower speeds. I've seen a 168 come completely apart in the 2,700fps range on a deer. While it's easy to follow an organ trail, it's a target bullet with a thin jacket. They used to list it in their reloading manual as a hunting bullet, but now they don't. I know a few people that swear by them. I have no doubt it will kill piggies. Might hold together better at 2,400 fps. Let us know!

Wait a minute. You mean those green tip zombie AMAX bullets aren't going to work on a Zombie?

750 rounds or .45 put up for some shooting as it warms up. Still have 200+ pieces of brass to load up maybe tomorrow.

Finished my first pound of AA#5 with .40 S&W. By my calculations, I got approx. 1,037 rounds. Now I've got 2 lbs of AA#7 and 2 lbs of Titegroup. Think I'll work up loads for 9mm with the AA#7, and use the Titegroup for the. 40.

i got 2k of the 175 SMK waiting on the porch when i got home yesterday.

so... i spent a little time randomly weighing and measuring just to see what a small sample of them would do. Turns out that there are a couple boxes in there that might need to go back. OAL all over the place, and base-to-ogive (of just the bullet) measurements varying as much as 0.010".... Meh, on 2nd thought, I might just keep them for the training rounds.

It's all part of the plan.....

Prossesed 140 rounds of 6.5 Creedmoor Hornady brass for my new gun. Once it comes back from the smith, I can measure the OAL and start ladder testing with 142 SMKs, 139 Scenars and 140 Beger Hybrids (thanks XC700116)!

Also started to prosses about 500 rounds of .223. Not a lot I know, but it sure takes awhile on a single stage press.
