My friend's pistol kept having FTEjects with his reloads, so we once again thought that the loads were too weak. But after having loaded 5.6gr of Accurate #5 behind 115gr Plated RN 9mm, I started questioning if it was his pistol. The max load for that powder is 5.9gr. Since we used a volumetric powder measure, I didn't want to go higher on the charge and thought we'd find a different powder for him.

Then he told me he was going to clean his pistol real quick and add some lube. Turns out his pistol was dirty and dry, he has never cleaned or LUBED his firearms because a friend told him not to. Well no wonder he was having malfunctions! After he lubed it, the pistol started shooting the reloads flawlessly!

In other news, I picked up a pile of pink 308 Win brass at the range while picking up my other brass. Headstamp was 61 over 92. At first I was excited that I got some nice 308 brass, but after doing some research, it appears to be copper washed steel cases from China.
